We are only a couple of minutes drive from the Newcastle University, and close to the Shortland Wetlands wildlife sanctuary. Our building is very easy to identify, as it is the only largish building in this residential area and has a modern retirement village as its neighbour. Please phone ahead to ensure our staff are available to welcome you as our openig hours do vary.

our imagery

The koala image, with its key and jig-saw puzzle ribbons which is to be found at the bottom of all pages of this web-site, is taken from a detail of Davson's signature painting,
On The Ark of Salvation.

The world map detail on the right section of our website banner is also from On The Ark of Salvation. Positioned to the left is the painting Turning Point, and then a detail from a painting in the series titled A Touch of Gold is on the far left.

The Hon. Pat Farmer is a Patron of Davson Arts Museum and an ultra-marathon runner. He is currently preparing to run 21,000 kilometres from the North Pole to the South Pole.

This will be the first time anyone has undertaken this feat, and Sharon Davson is one of his Sponsors.

This is also the first time in world history that an artist has been a significant Sponsor of an international sporting event. Pat sets off his run in March 2011 and will run through 14
countries down the west coast of the Americas.

This extraordinary sporting event - a run from the North Pole to the South Pole, is likely to raise about $100 million for Red Cross clean water projects.
